Why do You Need a Fine-Tuned LinkedIn Profile

When going through the profiles on LinkedIn, you find quite fundamental differences in their level.

You would come across profiles with no photos where you can learn just about titles of positions and the author’s employers (I call them “telegraphic”). But you would also find the ones, where after reading you feel like you have known the author for ages, despite you have never met. And then there are profiles somewhere in between…

The quality of your LinkedIn profile directly corresponds with how much you can benefit from your accnout. There is a direct correlation.

“Telegraphic” profile, that is saying “nothing” is absolutely useless. But on the contrary, a well-made profile is your advert and a necessary base for your success on LinkedIn. If you wish to use the full potential of LinkedIn and gain here new customers, then you need to have a truly “fine-tuned” profile…

Why?
How can such a LinkedIn profile serve you?

1. It allows your potential customers to learn what your niche is and how you can be useful to them.

The fundamental principle, which is behind every closed deal is the following: KNOW > TRUST > BUY. Your profile can do the job of the first stage – it allows people to get to know you before they meet you. And this fact increases the chance they will even want to meet you…

Don’t forget, that in today’s digital world, it is a matter of a few clicks for each of your potential customers to find you on LinkedIn or somewhere else on the internet. A well-created LinkedIn profile will do a lot of work for you prior to a business meeting. And on the contrary – the “not very good one” can ruin the first impression about you.

2. It enables you to expand the network of contacts – potential customers

A well-created profile on LinkedIn will enable you to connect with people you don’t personally know. Thanks to this, your network of contacts will be growing much faster. Your profile will become your agent, who is working for you. How?

If you ask somebody to connect with you on LinkedIn, what is the first thing the person is going to do? They will go and look at your profile. Then they consider if you can be useful to them, and according to their decision, they choose to accept or ignore your invitation.

And the other way round – What will make somebody who you don’t know decide to invite you to connect with them? Yes, exactly, they will decide based on what your profile says about you…

3. It becomes your tool for recommendations

Yes, if somebody is satisfied with your services, or they are thrilled about what you and know, they will be happy to recommend you to their friends and people they know. What is the simplest thing for them to do? To send them your LinkedIn profile link…

4. You will be (not just) easy to find

A well-created profile contains plenty of keywords, thanks to which you will appear more often in searches not just on LinkedIn but also on Google.

In the search results and recommendations who to connect with “Get connected with…”), LinkedIn prefers profiles that reach the level Star.

Google will also like o show you much more (more about this later).

Therefore, your potential customers, who are looking for your services or skills will be able to find you much easier than somebody else with less quality profile…

5. It can substitute your website

A well “fine-tuned” LinkedIn profile can be your only and main presentation on the internet. It can link, besides your contact details to your projects, publications, display videos, photos… And if you also add publishing blogs, you don’t need anything else…

This way, you basically get a free website, that gets the right traffic much faster than your new website would. How is this possible?

LinkedIn is one of the top 10 websites with the largest traffic in the world. Hence, Google and its sites (thus also our personal profiles) prefer these over the others in the search results.

Try it, type your name on Google, and see what shows first, your LinkedIn profile or your website?

So what do you think, is it a damn smart idea to have a “fine-tuned” LinkedIn profile?
